Welcome to the website. This is the online home of Demorne Warren. If your reading this chances are that you are aware of the music of Demorne Warren aka D-Dub and Do For Self Entertainment. If not thats cool, for the rest of you who have no familiarity with D Dub or DFS Ent. here is a quick breakdown. There is a bio section that goes in specific detail concerning Dub as well as an entire page on and link to Do For Self Entertainment so I will try not to be too redundant here. Besides what's been stated in the bio and DFS pages, this is a label that is way deeper than just music. Hence the word Entertainment versus Music. Our concept came from our need to have creative control as well as Ownership of our art. Do For Self Entertainment began before I even really came to know Paul, Felix or Miguel who all went to Five Towns College. There wasn't Do For Self Ent yet but that friendship would grow to include me and many others who were in the same circles, recording in the same studios, and hanging at the same spots. Wasn't long until we realized if we worked as a team, which we already were, that we could do big things. However what started as a pretty large group boiled down to the current members of DFS. Partially due to a lack of either dedication, faith, commitment, patience and at times finances. As the saying goes it's easy to find good players but not as easy to make everybody play well with each other. Once it was decided by Paul and producer Felix Nevarez that D Dub would be the artist that DFS would focus on first, some of the other artist that had been recording with us went separate ways. However there were no hard feelings, and some of those artist continue to be affiliates. Fast forward and now in 2012 your on DemorneWarrenDDub . Since we started until now many things have happened. 2006 was the debut of Demorne Warren's album titled The World According to D. Executive produced by Paul Twumasi, with production from Felix Nevarez, Eric Wes, Dave Kennedy, DJ Rad and more. That album is a definite classic, also certified double copper. (Hahaha) Nobody said it would be easy, we have invested our own money as well as our precious time to record, mix, master, etc... and finally have a product. I may be biased but this is a album that you (yes you) need to have in your collection, don't take my word for it though. I like to think of it as life enriching. Since that release Demornes music has been featured on the tv series Tyra Banks next Top Model. Currently D Dub is preparing to release a follow up to his debut. This time around its gonna be a few features unlike the first album. This site is primarily designed to raise awareness of everything Demorne Warren/ Do For Self related. However in the near future we will include videos of other artist as well. If we feel it's legit, authentic, real, original, fresh or interesting, chances are it will be covered here.
