Demorne Warren, also known as D-Dub, hails from South Side Queens, NY, immersing himself in the vibrant hip-hop scene of the mid-1980s to the 1990s. Inspired by this golden era, he honed his craft as an MC, Griot, and Hip Hop Historian.
In the late 90s, Demorne connected with producers Migz and Felix Nevarez, alongside the late Roberto Yepez and Pauly On, forming the crew and label Do For Self Entertainment. Their sessions at the iconic D&D studio laid the foundation for their sound.
Demorne Warren's debut album, "The World According To D...", dropped in 2006 under Do For Self Entertainment LLC, showcasing his lyrical prowess. He's since collaborated with notable artists and producers like The Beat Minerz, Krumb Snatcha, and Domingo.
His versatility shines through features on tracks like "Gotta Get Up," and "Generate Heat" alongside luminaries like Ras Kass and Nutso. In 2016, he joined forces with Billy Danze of M.O.P. for the single "Barclay's Music."
"Excelsior," his sophomore album, hit the airwaves in May 2016 was well received. In 2021, he partnered with Yves Saint Lyric to form High Frequency, dropping their debut album, "The Most High Frequency." Their collaboration continues to push boundaries, resonating with audiences worldwide.
